IRANIAN AMERICANS RALLY IN NEW YORK CITY

Hundreds of Iranian Americans gathered in Midtown Manhattan on Sunday to celebrate reports that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had been killed in a U.S.-Israeli strike in Tehran.

The rally drew an estimated 500 people who assembled in the area during the afternoon, chanting “USA! USA!” and expressing support for the military action. Some participants also voiced appreciation for former President Donald Trump while holding signs and banners referencing political change in Iran.

The crowd began moving toward Times Square while waving the historic Iranian Lion and Sun flag, a symbol associated with Iran prior to the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Demonstrators also sang the former Iranian national anthem during the gathering.
